Group Meeting 26.03.21
Following the last meeting where we discussed the new roles that everyone within the team will be taking on, we have been working to complete the research work more quickly so that it can be taken into consideration when designing the exhibition. Since the last meeting much progress has been made in various aspects of the group work which has been added to the shared Google drive.
To help us with our time management and allow us to see how much progress we should be making as a team, Luke created a Gantt chart to organise the next few weeks into the main tasks that need to be completed. Each of the different task groups had a chance to explain how they have been developing their work to the whole studio, then feedback was given, and any questions were asked and answered.

The research team explained that they have been looking into health and safety, risk assessments, materials and finance. To ensure the safety of the exhibition, research into possible hazards that could occur, and the means of escape in case of an emergency has been conducted. Furthermore, a look into regulations and the changes that need to be made regarding COVID-19 safety measures within an exhibition were also investigated.

Materials and Costs
Various materials and their properties were researched while considering the sustainability and costs of using them within our exhibition design. They were then suggested to the design team to help the final idea come together. Any sponsorships were also explored, and we talked about the possibility of getting materials from a firm in Southampton which uses recycled materials, to improve the sustainability of our exhibition design.

Exhibition Models
As we have been thinking about creating a physical model of the exhibition to show our development and explore our design ideas, James showed the model that he has been working on and we collectively decided that this would be a good method to use moving forward to test out the progress of our final exhibition design.

The CAD model of the exhibition design has been updated and was presented to the studio by Dan. He explained how the finished idea would work in the physical space of the Eldon building and mentioned some improvements that he plans to make with the dimensions of the design.

After looking at the different models that have been made, there was a discussion about the possibility of a 3D printed model of the final exhibition design as the structure may be difficult to accurately represent using other methods.
We plan to continue having meetings throughout the Easter break to keep each other updated about the work we have completed and discuss what needs to be done next.
